"Ashten is the best! We've hired her to watch our little buddy three times now, most recently over Christmas for a week of overnight stays. Absolutely cannot recommend enough. Our cat is an older fellow who is very attached to people, but who is unable to travel very long distances anymore. When we came back, he was in such good spirits and he was such a happy little guy! He has some quirks as an older cat (i.e., no sense of self-preservation) and needs a bit more attention so that he doesn't launch himself onto / from high places (arthritis in hip) and Ashten saw to his every need. She even took him to the vet for a regular appointment and he did better with her taking him than us hah! The pet updates Ashten provides will give any anxious pet owner peace of mind. We trusted her 100% to stay in our house and felt so much better with her being there. She is one of a kind. Like I said, cannot recommend enough."

"It's rare that I wish I could add more than 5 stars in a review, but here's a case where a 6/5 would accurately represent how great my experience with Ashten and Lap of Luxury was. She's kind, professional, friendly, and is very clearly a person who loves being around cats, which is exactly what I needed in a pet sitter. It was such a delight to get updates for each visit she made to care for them, along with a bunch of cute photos of them. It's such a relief to have finally found a cat sitter who just loves being around our cats! I feel like I can finally relax and enjoy myself while I'm on vacation away from home. "Very happy with the services from Ashten. I never felt comfortable going through an app (like Rover) and wanted to have someone who is insured and bonded, has a business license and certifications in pet first aid. I always feel worried about leaving my cat when I need to travel, but I felt totally confident that she was in good hands with Ashten. Ashten was responsive, professional and provided excellent updates and services to my senior cat who needs medication twice daily, including a puffer. Ashten did great and even managed to win over my grumpy cat in the end. Will definitely be a repeat customer!"

"This was our first experience with a professional pet sitter. We couldn’t be happier (or luckier) to have found Ashten, and Lap of Luxury. We spoke with many other people/outfits that offer these services, but Lap of Luxury stood out. After the initial interview, we felt very confident we could trust Ashten to be in our home with our pets while we were away. We were right. Ashten not only followed through on everything she offered during the interview, but completely exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We were out of the country, and Ashten’s communication was remarkable. Prompt and detailed reports (with pictures) from first visit, to last. We could tell from the pictures that Jim and Lucy (cats) were relaxed, comfortable, and quite happy to be with Ashten, even without us around.

We were able to enjoy our vacation, concern and worry-free, knowing our cats, fish, and tremendous amount of plants were being cared for by someone with an incredible passion and love for all animals, and living things. We arrived home to our cats (who clearly missed us), but showed no signs of stress that we had been gone. They were happy, healthy, and full of energy. The house was just as we left it, and the same for all of our plants. We were very hesitant to let someone we’d never met into our home, but ecstatic that we took the chance.

We now know that we can leave our home for future vacations, with complete confidence that everything we love will be looked after and cared for, just as we would. I recommend Lap of Luxury to anyone who is hesitant like we were, or that just hasn’t found the right fit yet. An incredible experience with a wonderfully caring and charismatic individual.
